I've heard nothing but GREAT things about KAMsnaps and their customer service. Even the 'cosmetic defect' pliers have great reviews and many can't even tell why they are labeled as such.

Most of my information comes from the cloth diaper sewing 101 board on BabyCenter, but also your own website and a couple of other diaper related places rave about all of your products.

I have heard they your pliers work excellent and are easy to use! I have also hear that if you are doing a lot of snaps in one sitting the pliers cam hurt your hands so the press is way better for applying a lot of snaps at once because they do not hurt your hands

I've already written a review for my awesome snap press, the 98, under Wendy.

I just want to say that I LOVE my snap press and use it for most sewing projects. One down side to my snap press is having to use the wrench to change out the dies verses just having screw them in. I wouldn't trade my press for anything!! It is one of the few tools I use that I'd fight over if someone tried to take it!! My sewing machine falls into that category as well!

I love my snap press. It is SO EASY to use! It does NOT require a lot of force, and the snaps are very strong and secure. The press is not only easy to use, but applying snaps is so much FASTER! I wish I had a snap press YEARS ago. I love all of the color choices available! The service is reliable and QUICK! I use the snap press to apply snaps on numerous sewing projects: small wallets, tote bags, embroidered and plain ribbon bracelets, shirts, laptop cases, storage covers, and many other items. It is GREAT!

first of all it says something about the snap press that everyone has chosen to review on t his item alone! I am IN LOVE with my snap press and you won't find it cheaper anywhere else. it is shipped very securely and the staff is unbelievably helpful and assisting you through the shopping process. whether its what size dies to buy or which type of snap you should use; metal/plastic, size 20 or 16...they will help you select the best items for your project. I personally shopped around for a month before i realized i was not going to get a better deal. my only regret was not buying more snaps with my initial purchase...i love this snap press and if i were to be looking to buy one again, is would come here in a heartbeat,..they simply cannot be beat!!!

I am in heaven!!! My pliers and snaps arrived today and I just finished off a lot of bibs that were "in waiting". I have always dreaded putting snaps on things because of the difficulty. I worked along with the tutorial, learned this in all of 2 minutes and I won't ever look back. I am totally hooked and can now honestly say that I LOVE doing snaps. Thanks for the great product!!!

Review: I recently purchased a pair of the pliers for plastic snaps. I am really happy with the purchase. I received the pliers in the mail very quickly. I found the online instructions and videos to be very informative. I watched the tutorials prior to setting up the pliers. I had an easy time replacing the plunger for the size 20 snaps.

I tried the pliers for the first time on a mama pad that had lost its metal snap. I had no problem applying the snap and the resulting snap works great. I love that the first snap I applied works and looks great.

I followed the guidelines on the tutorial for centering the snap parts and made sure everything was centered prior to pressing the handle. I actually turned the handle over and pressed with both hands to secure the snaps after I did the initial press. I think for personal use the snap pliers are great and a lot easier than anything I have tried previously.

I have used metal snaps and a hammer previously and the snap pliers are far superior. Another wonderful bonus is the wide array of colors available for the plastic snaps.

I am looking forward to purchasing more snaps and using them on my cloth diapers and covers. Overall I am really happy with my purchase and the customer service.

"I have used these snaps on so many things and I would never go back to metal snaps. I never even read the instructions. Just make sure the entire shaft is through fabric, and the socket or stud and squeeze. Never even had to adjust them. The only problem I had was getting on off that I put on the wrong side. They are the greatest thing since sliced bread. WOW! I am going to try and get all the colors because I know I will use them. The price of the snaps is unbelievable too. Keep everything like it is and you will be in business forever."

(KAMsnaps reply: Thank you, Lorna! But to everyone else reading this, we definitely recommend you read the instructions first!)

I hope i did this right. i would love to try out these snaps. have her a ton of great things.

Review: I've had my snap pliers for a few months now and it works great. I use it to apply snaps to cloth diapers, clothes, wet bags, etc. They're very easy to use, lightweight, portable and fit nicely in my sewing basket. I have weak wrists (had one too many sprains I guess), so it's a little tricky to squish down the snaps with the proper amount of force. But I've found that if I rest the long side of the handle against the floor and press straight down on the other handle, it squishes the the snaps perfectly and with little to no strain on my hands.

Review: I purchased the DK-98 professional model and love it! I also have the pliers, but have not tried any other snap presses.
I've mainly used my press to do snap conversions on cloth diapers.
The snap press is heavy (as indicated in the product description), but still managable. It is harder to press down to apply the snap than I thought, but I prefer it over my pliers. It is very easy to get the fabric and snaps lined up, and never have a crooked snap. I love that there's a little more clearance with the press than the pliers.
At first, I was annoyed to need to change out the dies to switch between the cap and socket (unnecessary with the pliers). It is very simple though and just takes a second.
I've been using it pretty regularily for half a year or so and it still works perfectly.
All in all, I really like the snap press, and prefer it over the pliers."

I loved this review because instead of spending money on the pliers I think I'm just going to get the press. This helps me because I want to start making my own cloth diapers.

Review:
Much better than I had anticipated! Snap application is, well, a SNAP using the pliers & the little awl to poke through the fabric. I was skeptical, having struggled through previous ways of putting on snaps & "grippers" since the '70s. When the pliers arrived, they certainly looked not promising; rusty, funky, and clunky. But I followed the written instructions (which you have to go to the website to get - why can't they be included with the pliers?) and watched the tutorials, and found that it really is very simple and very accurate. I do wish that the handles were longer, or bigger, or made a more definitive "click" or something when the snap has been properly applied, but despite my worries, the snaps have all been easily and securely placed. You do need a couple of layers of fabric to properly support the snap, otherwise it can't really get the snug fit and the mashed-down spike you need for security, but for my purposes (snaps on bibs, so far), it works quickly and easily. Would be a problem for someone with badly arthritic hands, I imagine.

This is a fantastic deal! I just finished my first diaper with snaps and I am very pleased with the results. The directions were clear, the pliers were easy to use, and the rusted hinge is no big deal. Change it out for the extra hinge that was included and you practically have a firs-quality pair. With the extra included snaps, you can't pass this up. Glad I finally took the plunge to get these. You should too!

Great pliers, easy to use and have held up to many diaper conversions. My only complaint is that I wish I would have bought the press because after a while, the pliers can be tough on your hands. If you have more than 10 diapers to convert, I would suggest investing in the press.

I make cloth diapers and have been using the pliers for awhile. Although they do the job I frequently would crack studs and often had issues with snaps just not "smashing" evenly. Well I decided it was time to invest in a k-98 press and OMG!!! The best investment I've made in regards to my diapering business! For starters it very simple to put together and the video & photo tutorials explain everything. I tested out my first snap and was in total awe! What a difference from the pliers! Again they do the job but if you want a professional looking snap this press is the way to go! It is as easy as it looks. I have no problem at all with giving enough pressure on the handle and I just have "mommy" baby carrying muscles. It is a very heavy piece of equipment and by all appearances is going to last well past my life time. The dies are very easy to put in and out too. Perfection when it comes to diapering snaps!!! Oh and I use the size 20 snaps and dies. Don't think about it for months like I did, just get it!

But, someone mentioned snap pliers and I had to try them. They are incredibly affordable and work wonderful! I was surprised how easily they are applied with light pressure. I did accidently apply 2 snaps on backward but after watching the tutorial they were simple to remove and re-apply new ones correctly. My only regret is I didn't buy more snaps! Shipping was also super fast - received them in 2 days!

Name: danielle Date: 12/04/2010 Review: I use my snap press for diapers and it does an amazing job. It is easy to use and does a great job. The only thing I wish it came with was an awl. It needs a little help poking holes through pul material. It is heavy, but that is a good thing because it will not slide around when you are doing a project.

This is a review I found most helpful because it gives advice about reading the instructions thoroughly to avoid problems! It reassures me that I would be able to work through any issues I had by following the instructions and tutorials closely! Gives me some confidence!

Since I received my pliers I have been plotting all sorts of projects to add snaps to! These little pliers are a wonder and do the trick nicely. Read the instructions completely more than once-it is very important to seat the snap properly- if you don't the prong won't compress fully and your snaps will either fall off or just never click together right. I also recommend being very very very sure before you apply a snap as these little buggers are not easy to get off- as warned in the instructions...My only complaint is that these are not very fast- if you have a large project your hand will likely get tired. Also, the 'throat' does not allow you to apply snaps very far into a piece of fabric if you know what mean. Still, for small projects they are an amazing value-I purchased the cosmetic defect sale priced pliers and they were very very easy to fix. I also got loads of freebies! Awesome deal:)
Now I want a press for larger projects!
