Making a Global Impact One Cloth Pad at a Time

Imagine being shut off from the world 1 or 2 weeks every month.  No going to school.  No going to work to earn much-needed income for your family's survival. No leaving the house at all.

This is what millions of girls and women in impoverished countries face every month because they don't have access to basic feminine hygiene supplies.  Days for Girls is a non-profit organization that is directly changing the lives of these young women by providing them with reusable menstrual kits.  Something so simple, yet with far-reaching impact.

Every day throughout the country, the continent, the world, an incredible network of devoted volunteers at DFG sews and assembles hygiene kits that include cloth pads, wash cloths, soap, and more to distribute to those in need.  With the help of our loyal customers, KAMsnaps is donating over 190 pounds of snaps (that's about 440,000 pieces) to DFG to use on their cloth menstrual pads.

We held a snap-raiser in which we offered to match every qualifying set of snaps purchased and donate it to Days for Girls, a non-profit organization through which volunteers sew and distribute reusable cloth menstrual pads to girls and women in impoverished countries. Without the donation of these pads, most of these girls would be unable to leave the house for weeks every month, meaning they could not attend school or go to work.  Days for Girls plays a simple yet vital role in helping these girls and women maintain their independence and sense of dignity.

In January, we raised 76,000 full snap sets (that's 304,000 pieces or 132 pounds of snaps) for Days for Girls.  Yowsers! Thank you to everybody who contributed by making a qualifying purchase!
