What do the lengths mean?

• Size 20 regular length plastic snaps are commonly used on lightweight fabric.  Ex: clothing, diapers, bibs.
  
• Size 20 extra length plastic snaps are recommended for somewhat thicker/denser material such as double layers of marine vinyl.  Ex: snap tabs, key fobs.

What do I need to install these snaps?If you already have a tool to install plastic snaps, the same dies for size 20 plastic snaps will generally work with all of the above shapes.

• Exception: Star cap: are ever so slightly larger than regular round size 20 caps.  K1 pliers use the largest cap die (labeled T8A and included with the pliers).  KX professional handheld press uses the size 24 cap die.  All other tools use the same dies as size 20 snaps.
