How Do KAM Pronged Studs Work?
Pronged studs are used to make double-sided KAM snaps, as shown below. This comes in handy with reversible products or products that need multiple connections.
You need a special bottom die for your KAM snap table press. The pronged studs basically take the place of caps (which also have prongs). So the pronged stud goes on the bottom of the press, and the socket or regular stud at the top as usual.
You can stack as many double-sided snaps together to make an infinite number of connections.
FAQs:
- Pronged studs cannot be installed with pliers.
- Pronged sockets are not available.
