"GF" vs "HG" Snap Pliers

We are now offering snap pliers that have "HG" embossed on them, as opposed to the pliers we offered previously which had "GF" on them. These pliers can both do the same types of snaps so it doesn't make a big difference which one you are using. Here are the differences between the 2:

- The "GF" pliers are preloaded with the metal rod for size 24 snaps, so you will need to switch the rod out if you are using size 20 or smaller snaps. The "HG" pliers are preloaded with the correct metal rod for size 20 and smaller snaps already so there is no switching out necessary unless you are working on size 24 snaps.

- The "GF" pliers have cap dies that work with but do not perfectly fit size 20 and size 16 snaps (however, these can be purchased separately here). The "HG" pliers have cap dies that perfectly fit size 20 and 16 caps.

We are no longer offering "GF" pliers. All pliers now are "HG."

Just my luck that you are offering the pliers now with the new dies and I recently bought the old style and the new dies.

@ Natural Violet - If you leave a review for the new dies, you'll get a credit of $2 towards your next purchase, which means the dies would be free. Otherwise, there is no substantial difference between the 2 pliers.

Reviews for the new dies can be left at the bottom of this page: http://www.kamsnaps.com/Dies/Replacement-Dies-for-Pliers-p139.html . Include your email address at the end of the review so we can identify you. Your email will be removed if the review is made public.

I love love love my pliers and snaps. I am sitting around thinking up things to sew so I can put snaps on. I have made purses, bracelets, wetbags and I just got the pliers a week ago. So much fun!
