I use my pliers to finish many of my crocheted items. The snaps I buy give the sweaters, cardigans, hair ties, and miscellanous items the reguire fastner a more professional look. With an actual snap-press I could really get creative by using engraved snaps. Ther alreayd several ideas floating in my head that would become even more perfect for a gift with just the right snap added to it.

  163. If I won the snap press I would use it to make an array of baby related items diapers, bibs, pacier clips etc.. I have been saving up for one! If I could get by with the pliers I would but I have a rare bone deformity (madelungs) in my wrists and carpal tunnel so that's a no go sadly :( I started out wanting to make cloth diaper for friends with babies who could not afford them I hope to spread cloth diaper fever thru my doctors Midwife's practice and offer education classes on them and much much more! This year I put my Cloth Diaper son in the 4th of July Parade Next year I hope to have a dozen or more cloth diapered babies "walking" with us :) PICK ME PICK ME :) LOL
Thanks for giving us this oppertunity! Molly

  165. I would use the press instead of my pliers. Pliers and arthritis do not go well together! Diapers will be made so much more quickly with a press. This would be amazing.

  186. I'd have a ton of fun making bibs, diapers, pacifier clips and putting snaps on my crib skirt retainer so it can stay in place. I'll also be making a teething guard that I'd like to snap in place rather than use ties that my baby can undo. I'd be relieved to have the press as my hand has been getting numb since the end of my pregnancy, a symptom that hasn't gone away and pliers do tend to aggravate it. The pliers I'd likely pass on to my sister or one of my good friends, both of whom do crafts and sew. I'm sure they could both get great use out of them.
